Henderson

A vibrant, sporty community nestled along Sloan Canyon National Conservation Area.

Henderson, Nevada’s second-largest city, is considered “One of the Best Places to Live in America” by Bloomberg Philanthropies. This 103-square-mile suburban area between Las Vegas and Lake Mead holds a Silver rating in the What Works Cities certification by Bloomberg, one of only 55 cities in the US with this specification.

Henderson was incorporated in 1953. Before that time, it was the site of a magnesium plant involved with the defense industries. A centerpiece of the city is Lake Las Vegas, with homes and condominiums located around the lake and golf course. This 3,592-acre “oasis in the desert” within Henderson offers many recreational opportunities. The Lake Las Vegas Golf Tournament is a major annual event.

Henderson is also home to resort hotels, casinos, and nightclubs and features other cultural activities throughout the year. Residents love attending Shakespeare in the Park, an annual event with professional productions.

Henderson is also home to sporting events galore. Locals have endless opportunities to watch their favorite teams, from the Henderson Silver Knights’ practice sessions at Lifeguard Arena to the Dollar Loan Center, where the Silver Knights play their home games. The Raiders Headquarters are also a great spot to watch the Las Vegas Raiders show off their skills as they prepare for the season. Sports fans can also head to the T-Mobile Arena, home of the Vegas Golden Knights, and Allegiant Stadium to catch a Las Vegas Raiders game.
